POWER INTERRUPTION CONTINUES DUE TO DPWH RELOCATION OF POLES

The Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (INEC) appealed to the Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) for the continuing scheduled power interruptions. INEC General Manager Engr. Felino Herbert P. Agdigos announced that this is due to the continuing relocation of distribution lines in the different parts of the province. Said relocation is part of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) road widening project. Of the 1,793 target, record shows that INEC has already relocated 622 electric poles both in the first and second district of Ilocos Norte or 34.69 percent with a total cost of P83,262,566.00. As of January 14, 2020, INEC recorded the highest number of poles relocated in Sta. Cruz, Badoc to San Nicolas.
