INEC DEPLOYS TASK FORCE TO HELP RESTORE POWER IN NAGA CITY
Standing as Warriors of Light to the people heavily affected by two strong typhoons, some linemen and engineers from the Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative trooped to the City of Naga on November 4 to help restore power in the devastated areas.
Led by INEC General Manager, Engr. Felino Herbert Agdigos, the electric cooperative formed the INEC Task Force Team composed of 15 linemen and engineers. This task force is called “Power Restoration Rapid Deployment (PRRD) Task Force” which is an initiative of the One EC Network Foundation through the Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association Inc.
In a statement, the general manager said the core value of volunteerism of the cooperative to help in times of disasters. “INEC has been voluntarily helping our brothers and sisters in our cooperatives who were affected by any disaster. As we reach out to them, it shows the real value of who we are in the cooperative,” Engr. Agdigos said.
Before departure, the team offered prayers and checked needed equipment and full safety gear inspection. “As we go to our destination, let us not carry burdens but bring with us the joy that we will get through the help we will provide,” Engr. Jayzon Rae Niño, Chief, shared as they prepare to help in the power restoration in the typhoon-hit region.
