NEA Awards INEC with Most Coveted AAA Award among Others The National Electrification Administration (NEA) awarded the Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative, Inc. (INEC) and other electric cooperatives in the country with exemplary performance during the 2022 Golden Dagitab Awards on July 29, 2022 at the NEA Building in Quezon City.

INEC was awarded as “Outstanding EC” for attaining AAA rating in the 2021 overall performance assessment and successfully carrying out the mandate of Rural Electrification Program. The AAA rating is the highest rating given by NEA while D rating is the lowest.

As the national agency tasked to oversee the performance of all 121 electric cooperatives (ECs) in the country, NEA releases a yearly performance assessment of the ECs through measuring financial, institutional and technical parameters as indicated in the NEA Memorandum to ECs 2019-045 (Amended Enhanced Policy on EC Overall Performance Assessment).

The cooperative also received the Single Digit System Loss Award, thereby contributing to the improvement of EC electric distribution system efficiency and reduction of power rate, Best in Collection Efficiency Award and Award on Sitio Energization Program for fully energizing all the sitios under its franchise coverage area.

INEC also received recognition for fully liquidating its subsidy funds, for its unwavering commitment and its efforts in promoting the best interest of its consumers through the Rural Electrification Program with the “Rural Electrification Program Distinction,” and for its philanthropic benevolence in assisting brother cooperatives rise again after the onslaught of natural calamities with the “Compact of Cooperation Award.”

The awards for INEC were received by General Manager Engr. Felino Herbert P. Agdigos and Board President Atty. Enrico Pacifico “Cocoy” B. Ruiz. The 2022 Golden Dagitab Awards was held as part of the celebration of NEA’s 53rd Foundation Anniversary and 13th National Electrification Awareness Month (NEAM).
